How Long Does It Take to Ship a Vehicle?

The answer here will depend on the distance between your pickup and delivery locations. We have a guaranteed delivery window between 1 and 14 business days, which once again depends on mileage. However, road, bad weather, and traffic conditions can prolong the estimated delivery time.

How Many Days in Advance Do You Need to Book a Shipping Service?

We suggest contacting us anywhere from one day to several months in advance. This will give our team enough time to pick up your vehicle and ensure that you get the best possible quote. However, no matter when you give us a call, we will make sure to provide you the best services possible.

What Kind of Carriers Does USA Auto Transport Offer?

USA Auto Transport offers open and enclosed trailers for transporting your car.

Does USA Auto Transport Offer Door to Door Shipping Service?

We provide door-to-door car shipping service based on availability. This depends on the pickup and delivery locations and local law regulations.

Does Someone Have to Be Present for a Pick-up and Vehicle Delivery?

Yes, someone must be present at both pick-up and delivery to accept the vehicle. They will need to provide a spare set of keys and sign the inspection report. In case that you are not available, have a friend or relative sign on your behalf.

When Do You Need to Pay for Shipping?

USA Auto Transport collects payment in full 1 business day before the pickup of your vehicle. We accept payment by credit or debit card. There is no cancelation fee if you cancel 72 hours before the start of your desired pickup window. After that mark, there is a $150 cancelation fee.

How Should You Prepare Your Car for Shipping?

Whether it’s within a state or cross-country, your vehicle should be thoroughly prepared for transportation. There are a few things before your vehicle is picked up, like check it for damage and wash it.

How Much Gas Should You Leave in the Tank?

Your car doesn’t need to have a full tank of gas. However, there should be anywhere from ⅛ to ½ gas in it.

Should You Leave Your Personal Belongings in the Vehicle?

USA Auto Transport allows up to 100lbs of belongings in the trunk of your vehicle. We do not allow any items anywhere else in the vehicle.

Does Our Auto Transport Company Ship Inoperable Vehicles?

If you have an inoperable vehicle, USA Auto Transport can ship it for you for an additional fee. Nevertheless, the machine must have a working emergency brake, tires need to be inflated, and the steering wheel needs to be operable.

Is Our Car Shipping Company Licensed and Insured?

One of the main mistakes you should avoid when shipping your vehicle is hiring movers without checking if they are licensed and insured. Luckily, USA Auto Transport is fully licensed with a US DOT number, ICC MC number, and Cal T number.
